UOC Recommends Rs. 902.8M Budget for FY 2026–27

The 10th meeting of the Finance & Planning Committee of the University of Chakwal was held on 9 July 2026 at 4:00 PM on the university campus. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Farrukh Arsalan Siddiqi, Vice Chancellor, while Mr. Muhammad Asif, Treasurer, served as the Secretary of the meeting.

The meeting was attended by distinguished committee members, including Prof. Dr. Shahbaz Arif (Former Dean, Government College University Faisalabad), Mr. Waqar Zafar Bakhtawari (Former President, Chamber of Commerce Chakwal), Mr. Ghulam Nabi (Director General Finance, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan), Ms. Zahida Azhar (Additional Secretary, Higher Education Department, Government of Punjab), Mr. Kashif Naz (Deputy Director Finance, Punjab Higher Education Commission), Mr. Asghar Ali (Section Officer, Finance Department), and Mr. Sada Hussain, Principal, Chakwal College of Arts & Sciences, University of Chakwal.

During the meeting, the Committee reviewed the proposed budget for the financial year 2026–27, amounting to Rs. 902.796 million, with estimated expenditures of Rs. 855 million. The Committee approved a surplus budget of Rs. 45 million and recommended forwarding the budget to the University Syndicate for final approval.

The Committee also reviewed and recommended the fee structure for three new academic programs as well as the self-finance seats for approval by the Syndicate.

In addition, the Committee considered the Government of Punjab's decision regarding the increase in salaries and pensions for public sector employees. It recommended implementing the relevant government notifications for the employees of the University of Chakwal, subject to the approval of the Syndicate.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Farrukh Arsalan Siddiqi thanked the committee members for their valuable contributions and expressed confidence that the approved recommendations would further strengthen the University's financial and administrative capacity, supporting its academic excellence and future development.
