The Department of Sociology organized an insightful seminar addressing two significant topics: mental health stigma and breast cancer awareness. Chairman of the Department of Sociology, Dr. Malik Sohail, emphasized the importance of well-being and its crucial role in fostering a thriving society. Renowned psychologist Dr. Tehreem Fatima explored the stigma surrounding mental health, highlighting the necessity for open discussions on this pressing issue. Additionally, Dr. Ghazala, Deputy District Population Welfare Officer, presented on the significance of breast cancer screening, underscoring the importance of early detection. In his concluding remarks, District Population Welfare Officer Malik Wajahat commended the Department of Sociology for its dedication to raising awareness on these vital topics.
