The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics celebrated World Food Day on October 16, 2024, in the Western Block. Students displayed innovative therapeutic food products targeting specific diseases. The Honourable Registrar, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad, inaugurated the event, visited the stalls, and, along with his team, encouraged and praised the students for their innovation. A nutrition assessment for calculating ideal body weight, body mass index (BMI), body composition measurements, and dietary recommendations based on BMI was also part of the event. The Registrar of the University of Chakwal commended the department for organizing the food stalls and nutrition assessment camp, and suggested continuing these activities in the future.
