Prof. Dr. Farrrukh Arsalan Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor, University of Chakwal, held a productive meeting with Rana Sikandar Hayat, Honourable Minister for Higher Education, Punjab, at the Higher Education Department (HED) Office in Lahore.
The meeting focused on the evolving landscape of higher education and strategies to enhance its quality, accessibility, and relevance across the newly established universities in Punjab. The discussion was aligned with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, to strengthen higher education through institutional development and quality enhancement.
Matters relating to the recurring budget, government support for students, upcoming convocation at University of Chakwal (UoC), and ongoing development projects at UoC were also discussed. Special emphasis was placed on addressing the educational needs of North Punjab, particularly the Chakwal region, through academic excellence, innovation, and collaborative initiatives.
Both dignitaries reaffirmed their commitment to empowering youth, promoting research and innovation, and strengthening the higher education sector to contribute effectively to national development.
