The Department of Human Nutrition & Dietetics and Food Science & Technology celebrated World Food Day 2026 with great enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of food, nutrition, and innovative food solutions.
The event was inaugurated by the WVC Prof. Dr. Farukh Arsalan Siddiqui, Mr. Mahtab Ahmad Khan Deputy Director Operations Punjab Food Authority (PFA) Chakwal, with University faculty members and staff. The WVC visited the students stalls, appreciated their efforts, and encouraged them to continue developing outstanding therapeutic innovated food products.
The innovative products presented by the students were evaluated by Dr. Syeda Nadia Ahmad and Dr. Muhammad Jamil, who assessed their creativity, nutritional value, and innovation, while the Deputy Director Operations (PFA) and HOD distributed shields among the winning groups in recognition of their remarkable efforts and achievements.
