The Department of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, in collaboration with Wafiya Hospital, organized a Breast Cancer Awareness Seminar and Walk to promote awareness about breast cancer, emphasize the importance of early detection, and encourage women to prioritize their health. The session was led by Dr. Ayesha Huma, General Surgeon and Deputy Medical Superintendent at DHQ Hospital, Chakwal, who highlighted the importance of breast cancer awareness, early detection, and timely medical consultation.

Following the seminar, a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk was conducted to show solidarity with breast cancer patients and survivors and to reinforce the message of awareness, hope, and early detection.

This initiative contributes to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:

SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being: Promoting health awareness, early diagnosis, and improved health outcomes.

SDG 5 – Gender Equality: Empowering women with health knowledge and encouraging access to timely healthcare.

Together, let’s break the silence, spread

awareness, and stand united in the fight against breast cancer.

Early Detection Saves Lives!
