On August 25, 2026, the Department of Business Administration, University of Chakwal, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Noble Packaging (Pvt.) Ltd. and Kohinoor Packaging to strengthen university–industry linkages and provide students and faculty with enhanced opportunities for practical learning, professional training, and development.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Farukh Arsalan Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor, University of Chakwal, and Mr. Ejaz Hussain Minhas, Chief Executive Officer, Noble Packaging (Pvt.) Ltd. The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Arsalan Sajid Minhas, Director, Kohinoor Packaging, Dr. Muhammad Zeeshan Zafar, Head of the Department of Business Administration, and Dr. Mohsin Tarrar, Additional Director ORIC.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on industrial visits, internship opportunities for final-year students, and the participation of industry experts in the Board of Studies (BoS), Board of Faculty (BoF), and other relevant university forums, in accordance with university rules and regulations. The collaboration will also include seminars, workshops, webinars, and career awareness sessions. Opportunities for joint research and consultancy projects will also be explored in the future by mutual consent.
Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the collaboration and emphasized that strong university–industry linkages are essential for producing skilled, competent, and industry-ready graduates. He highlighted that closer engagement with industry would provide students with practical experience, professional guidance, and improved career opportunities, while also helping the University align its curricula with contemporary industry needs.
Mr. Ejaz Hussain Minhas also welcomed the partnership, emphasizing that strong collaboration between academia and industry is vital for contemporary academic, technical, and professional development. He noted that the partnership would enable the industry to benefit from academic expertise, consultancy, and modern research.
The MoU reflects the University of Chakwal, particularly the Department of Business Administration’s, commitment to developing sustainable and effective university–industry partnerships and bridging the gap between academic knowledge, research, and professional practice.
