The Vice Chancellor of the University of Chakwal, Prof. Dr. Farrukh Arslan Siddiqui, chaired the first meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) for the academic year 2026–27 in the Engineering Block Seminar Hall. The meeting was attended by Heads of Academic Departments and relevant administrative officers, while the Deputy Director, Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), served as the Secretary.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of recommendations from the Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE) 2025–26 and assessed evidence of corrective actions taken by academic departments to enhance educational quality.
Members also discussed the Research and Institutional Performance Evaluation (RIPE) 2025–26 report and agreed on a comprehensive action plan to further strengthen research performance, institutional effectiveness, and record management practices.
The Vice Chancellor was briefed on the findings of the Graduate Exit Survey (Session 2022–26) and the proposed improvement plan. It was decided that all departments would submit their corrective action plans within the stipulated timeline and present survey outcomes to their respective Boards of Studies (BoS) for implementation.
The meeting also reviewed the Faculty Satisfaction Survey 2025–26, with discussions focusing on enhancing the teaching environment, faculty facilities, and professional development opportunities. Committees comprising faculty members and administrative officers were constituted to oversee quality improvement initiatives.
Emphasizing the importance of student engagement in quality assurance, the Vice Chancellor directed the early establishment of the Lead Student Representative (LSR) and the Student Council for Academic Learning and Enhancement (SCALE) to ensure that student feedback becomes an integral part of academic planning and continuous quality enhancement.
Reaffirming the University's commitment to excellence, Prof. Dr. Farrukh Arslan Siddiqui stated that aligning academic quality, research, and governance with international standards remains a key institutional priority. He urged all academic departments to work closely with the Quality Enhancement Cell and ensure the timely implementation of agreed quality enhancement measures to achieve sustained academic and institutional excellence.
