Welcome to the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC) at the University of Chakwal, where we are committed to support our faculty, administration, students, and society at large to go for continuous skill enhancement as it is the need of the global knowledge-based economy. Our center serves as a dynamic hub that provides diverse and innovative opportunities for individuals to enhance their skills and excel in their respective fields.
Moreover, CPDC is planning to extend hand towards the corporate world and across the faculties to have a network of support for value addition, acceleration, and incubation so that the gap between industry and academia can be minimized as much as possible.

On July 17, 2023, the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC) of University of Chakwal hosted its first Capacity Building Training Workshop with the aim of enhancing the faculty's skillset. The workshop was led by Prof. Dr. Gulistan Raja, an esteemed Researcher and Trainer. The workshop's primary focus was on "Difference Between Outcome-Based Eduction and Traditional Education". 30 faculty members actively participated in this event.

On September 21, 2023, the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC) of University of Chakwal hosted its second Capacity Building Training Workshop with the aim of enhancing the faculty's skillset. The workshop was led by Dr. Fakhar-Ud-Din, an esteemed Master Trainer from HEC. The workshop's primary focus was on two essential aspects: "Professionalism in Teaching" and "Leveraging ICT for Training and Education." Impressively, 42 faculty members actively participated in this enriching event, signaling a commitment to improving their teaching abilities and embracing technology in education.

On November 27, 2023, the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC) of University of Chakwal hosted Two Days Capacity Building Training Workshop to enhancing the Administrative staff's skillset. The workshop was led by Prof. Dr. Sidra Aamir, an esteemed Master Trainer of PHEC. The workshop's primary focus was on two essential aspects: "Effective Communication Skills" and "Office Procedures". 50 Staff members (BPS-07 to BPS-19) actively participated in this interactive event.

On March 28, 2024, the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC) of the University of Chakwal hosted a One-Day Training Workshop on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) aimed at enhancing the skillset of the teaching staff. The workshop, led by Dr. Asim Quddus, Coordinator of CPDC at UOC, focused primarily on implementing Outcome-Based Education practices in teaching methodologies and curriculum development. Through interactive sessions and practical exercises, participants gained insights into designing courses, assessing learning outcomes, and aligning instructional strategies with educational objectives. The workshop provided valuable tools and techniques to equip the teaching staff with the necessary competencies to deliver quality education in line with contemporary pedagogical standards.

The workshop was led by Dr. Sajid Ali Yousuf Zai, an esteemed Master Trainer from NAHE-HEC. The workshop's primary focus was on two essential aspects: "Grant Writing" and "Publishing Research" Impressively, 40 faculty members actively participated in this enriching event, signaling a commitment to improving their research abilities.

The UOC Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC) recently held its sixth Capacity Building Training Workshop, aimed at enhancing the faculty's assessment skills. Led by Dr. Zeeshan Zaib Khattak, a distinguished Master Trainer from NAHE-HEC, the workshop concentrated on two key areas: "Assessment" and "Evaluation" Almost 40 faculty members participated actively, demonstrating their commitment to advancing their capabilities.

The Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC), University of Chakwal, in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), HEC Islamabad, successfully commenced the five-day Capacity Building Training Workshop Series under NAHE’s National Outreach Program.

The day began with an official opening ceremony graced by the esteemed Registrar of the University of Chakwal, Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmed, along with Mr. Raja Asif Hussain, Assistant Director NAHE. Their presence marked the formal inauguration of this important professional development initiative for the University’s management staff.

Following the opening ceremony, the first training module titled "Professional Communication and Office Procedures" was conducted by Ms. Noreen Zahid Mirza, an experienced trainer. The day-long session, held from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, featured a variety of interactive segments including group discussions, presentations, and hands-on activities designed to enhance workplace communication and procedural effectiveness.

The session was attended by 30 participants from various management branches of the University of Chakwal, who actively engaged in the training throughout the day. This workshop series has been meticulously organized under the coordination of Dr. Asim Quddus, Coordinator CPDC, as part of the University’s commitment to fostering continuous learning and capacity building.

 

 

Second module of the Capacity Building Training Workshop Series

Venue: Confrence hall, Engineering Campus, University of Chakwal

The second module of the Capacity Building Training Workshop Series was successfully conducted by Mr. Mubashar Ali, CEO of SKIM Training & Consultancy and a seasoned financial advisor for startups. With his extensive expertise in financial strategy and consultancy, Mr. Mubashar delivered an engaging and insightful session that greatly enriched the learning experience for participants.

This training series is organized by the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC), University of Chakwal, in collaboration with NAHE, HEC Islamabad, as part of the National Outreach Program to enhance the professional capacity of the University’s management staff.

 

Third module of the Capacity Building Training Workshop Series

The third module of the Capacity Building Workshop Series for University Management was successfully conducted today on the topic “Public Sector Development Project (PSDP) and Management Lifecycle.” The session was facilitated by Dr. Shahid Ali, Tenured Professor at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMS), Peshawar.

Dr. Shahid led a highly interactive and thought-provoking session, engaging participants through practical tasks and in-depth discussions. The full-day workshop, held from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, was attended by 30 management staff members from various departments of the University of Chakwal.

This training series is organized by the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC), University of Chakwal, in collaboration with NAHE, HEC Islamabad, under the National Outreach Program.

 

Fourth module of the Capacity Building Training Workshop Series

Date: 11 April, 2025

Venue: Confrence hall, Engineering Campus, University of Chakwal

The fourth module of the Capacity Building Training Workshop Series for University Management was successfully conducted on the topic “Personal and Professional Development.” The session was led by Dr. Akifa Imtiaz, Associate Professor at Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi.

Dr. Akifa delivered a highly engaging and dynamic session, utilizing interactive tasks, role-based activities, and creative engagement techniques to facilitate learning. Her unique approach created a lively and reflective learning environment for all participants.

The full-day workshop, held from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, was attended by 30 participants from various management departments of the University of Chakwal.

Organized by the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC), University of Chakwal, in collaboration with NAHE, HEC Islamabad, this workshop is part of the National Outreach Program aimed at strengthening university management through targeted training.

 

Fifth module of the Capacity Building Training Workshop Series

Date: 12 April, 2025

Venue: Confrence hall, Engineering Campus, University of Chakwal

The final module of the five-day Capacity Building Training Workshop Series was successfully conducted today on the topic “Federal and Provincial Procurement.” The session was led by Mr. Mohammad Shahid, a highly respected expert and former Joint Economist, Planning Commission of Pakistan, who brought with him a wealth of experience accumulated over decades of service.

From 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Mr. Shahid delivered a deeply engaging and insightful session, sharing real-life experiences, case scenarios, and practical knowledge related to procurement and planning processes in the public sector.

As the workshop came to a close, a formal closing ceremony was held. Mr. Mohammad Shahid presented completion certificates to the participants. Dr. Asim Quddus, Coordinator CPDC, University of Chakwal, delivered the closing remarks, extending heartfelt thanks to all resource persons for their valuable contributions and to the participants for their enthusiastic engagement throughout the training.

With this, the five-day Capacity Building Training Program, organized by the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC), University of Chakwal, in collaboration with NAHE, HEC Islamabad, under the National Outreach Program, concluded successfully.

Workshop 08: One-month Capacity Building Training Workshop

The Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC), University of Chakwal, in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), HEC Islamabad, proudly launched a one-month Capacity Building Training Workshop under the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty.

The training officially began on 14th April 2025 with a graceful opening ceremony, honored by the presence of Prof. Sada Hussain, Principal, College of Arts and Sciences, University of Chakwal, as the Chief Guest.

Dr. Asim Quddus, Coordinator CPDC, delivered the welcome and opening remarks, marking the formal inauguration of the training program.

The first training module, titled “Teaching as a Profession in Higher Education,” was conducted by Prof. Dr. Malik Ghulam Behlol, an esteemed academic and expert in higher education. The workshop will continue until 9th May 2025, aiming to enrich teaching methodologies, promote academic leadership, and support the professional development of faculty members.

 

Second module of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty

The second module of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty, titled "Assessment and Evaluation in Higher Education Teaching," was successfully conducted from 16th to 17th April 2025 at the University of Chakwal.

The session was led by Dr. Sajid Ali Yusufzai, who delivered an engaging and thought-provoking module, focusing on the evolving landscape of assessment strategies in higher education. He highlighted the role of AI in modern assessment, along with practical tools and approaches aligned with current academic needs.

Over 30 Faculty members from different departments took part in the interactive discussions and activities, making the session highly collaborative and impactful.

 

Third module of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty

The third module of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty was held on Friday, 18th April 2025, at the University of Chakwal.

The session focused on "Psychological Well-being of Higher Education Teachers and Learners", and was expertly delivered by Prof. Dr. Jamil A. Malik, a renowned professor from Quaid-i-Azam University.

With around 30 participants, the session was highly interactive and thought-provoking, emphasizing the importance of mental wellness in academic environments. Participants actively engaged in discussions, reflecting on challenges and strategies for promoting a psychologically supportive teaching-learning atmosphere.

The fourth module of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty, organized by the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC), University of Chakwal, in collaboration with NAHE, HEC Islamabad, was successfully conducted over two days.

The module, titled "Communication Skills for Higher Education Teaching," was delivered by the dynamic and inspiring Prof. Dr. Hamid Rafiq Khattak. His sessions were highly engaging and motivational, offering valuable insights into the role of communication in effective teaching and learning.

With 30 active participants, the module explored various aspects of communication—from verbal and non-verbal cues to classroom engagement and academic interaction—making it a transformative learning experience.

The 5th module of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty, organized by the CPDC, University of Chakwal, in collaboration with NAHE, HEC Islamabad, was successfully held on 23rd and 24th April 2025.

Titled "Technology Integrations in Higher Education," the session was led by Dr. Kashif Sohail Malik, a renowned trainer from International Islamic University, Islamabad. His insightful and highly effective sessions introduced participants to modern educational technologies reshaping the teaching paradigm.

With 30 enthusiastic participants, the module offered practical exposure to digital tools and strategies that can enhance teaching and learning experiences in higher education.

 

Sixth module of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty

Date: 25 April, 2025

Venue: Confrence hall, Engineering Campus, University of Chakwal

The 6th module of the National Outreach Program for Higher Education Faculty, organized by the Continuous Professional Development Center (CPDC), University of Chakwal, in collaboration with National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), HEC Islamabad, was successfully held on 25th April 2025.

The module, titled "Higher Educational Administration and Management," was conducted by Dr. Mansoor Akbar Kundi, a Meritorious Professor at International Islamic University, Islamabad. Drawing from his vast experience, Dr. Kundi shared valuable insights on leadership, governance, and effective management practices within higher education institutions.

30 participants actively engaged in the discussions, benefiting from the knowledge and practical perspectives shared during the session.
